Deaths

at home

In the event of a death at home in the Valais, you can contact your family doctor, the emergency call centre (0848 133 133) or the police (117) to have the death recorded.

Accident or

uncertain cause

In the event of an accidental or suspicious death, call the gendarmerie (117) as soon as possible.

The competent authorities take the first steps, such as calling a doctor and requesting further examinations if necessary. Although they are in charge of calling a funeral company for the initial care of the deceased,

You can always call on our services for the rest of the procedures related to the loss of your loved one.
